Norway!
Today I got word that I’d been accepted to a photo workshop and forum held by the photography agency Magnum. This means that on the 2nd of March Sarah and I will head to Oslo, Norway for 10 days. FIVE of these days I’ll be working along with a few other photogs under the instruction of Magnum photographer, David Allen Harvey, on a yet-to-be-determined photo story.

I recently applied to this workshop, very much on a prayer that I’d get accepted. A portfolio review was required for admission, and so I feel honored to have been accepted. It will definitely be humbling to be shooting around so many of the worlds best photographers.
Once the workshop is over, resulting photos from the week’s projects will be exhibited in a group show at Litteraturhust, one of Northern Europe’s most prominent cultural centers. A multimedia slideshow will also be shown on the Magnum In Motion site.
Sarah will roam the streets (and shops…) and will certainly snap some photos of her own.
This month’s flying by. I’ve been doing quite a bit of street shooting the past few weeks (Sarah was home in Germany), so I’ll have some photos up when the film is developed.
We’ve finally nailed down what we’re going to do for our big vacation this summer. Sarah and I are heading to Greece for a week in July, and then on to Istanbul for another week. We managed to score some great round trip tickets, so the only thing we’re not excited about is the Euro vs. the Dollar in Athens. Maybe we’ll head to Turkey a bit earlier to offset some of the cost! In eager anticipation, and of course being one who gets a little too excited for travel, I went ahead and purchased the Rosetta Stone software for Greek. To give you an idea, I just spent the past 30 minutes on it, and my head is hurting. It’s amazing how quickly you can think of other productive things to do.
Just as a heads up, we’re going to be updating our pricing by the end of the week. There will be a slight increase, so if you want to lock in the current packages, don’t hesitate. (Those of you who have already been given the old rates don’t need to worry. They will still apply to you.) I am excited, however, to try out this new pricing. It is much more a-la-carte, and lets you pick exactly what you want in your packages. There are also some exciting new services that we’ll be announcing shortly. One last thing, my birthday is next Friday, so don’t forget (ahem, Sarah!)

Sarah and I had visions of Green Acres this morning. We got up early to head up to Harrisburg to what it reported to be the BIGGEST farm show in America. I was interested in the photos. Sarah, along with our friend’s 3 year old daughter, was mostly interested in the baby animals.
It was a fun way to start the day.

Sarah and I travelled down to Shepherdstown, WV to meet up with Joel and Ashley this past Thursday. We braved the rain (bolstered by Ashley’s great umbrella!) and tromped through town snapping photos. We can’t wait to shoot their wedding next October!
